A short hike up Sheep Creek, off the Middle Fork of the Boise River

We wanted to take our Wisconsin friends, Harry and Caroline, somewhere Idaho-ish without climbing a peak. We chose Sheep Creek. John carried Jasmine the first mile or two. |

The previous winter, a warm storm came in and melted the snow. As the snow melted and it all sluiced out, the floodwaters stripped all the dirt from the stream beds and surrounding areas. |

| Harry is rarely out-toyed, but Jasmine had clearly worn him out. |  |
