No, you don't have to swim to get up this creek drainage. But if you're not careful, you might end up doing so anyway. There are a few sections requiring rock climbing skills. You also should know how to identify poisonous plants, or you'll be left scratching your head (and everything else).

As with many of the Owyhee canyons, the uplands can provide as much fun as the creek bottoms.

On our way back, we spotted a herd of wild horses. You may need to click on the picture so you can see a larger version to tell which little brown spots are actually horses.
