A quick jaunt to complete the quad, Peak 5980 is a yawner.

It was a Saturday, and the HOA meeting was at 1pm. I felt obligated to attend, so looked for a short, quick hike. Peak 5980 fit the bill. Even living near McCall, this one broke the windshield rule. So I parked and started walking up the road, which will soon be reclaimed by the slide alder. |

Lots of game trails through the woods led to the summit area, near the left side of your viewing screen. |

Brush and trees obscured the views. Through the trees here you can see nearby Granite Mountain. |

Working hard to make this one seem worthwhile, I looped south on the ridge following the open areas. |

A couple hundred feet of descent through various levels of brush, again following occasional game trails, brought me back to the road with the truck just beyond. Time to go make myself beautiful for my neighbors..... |
