Sunday. Social distancing. After a mandatory visit to McCall's beloved Pet Outfitters for chow (and then a good dose of hand cleaner), we were ready to head out. The pups knew what to do.

Trailhead

Ruby has done this hike many times, so was showing off.

Trailhead

I expected some snow. We got it. But it was negotiable.

Trailhead

I wasn't really expecting flowies. But we did get some. This for Julie.

To quote Walt Kelly:

Spring is sprung.
The grass is griz.
I wonder where
The flowies is?

Trailhead

Nick Peak. I can never get enough.

Trailhead

More Ruby posing. Looking muscular. And wise.

Trailhead

Craig posing. Looking muscular. And wise.

And then we were down at the car trying to figure out where to park for Snowdon Rock to create the least nuisance. I wish others went though this exercise.

We said Hi to a guy who was parked, but then had to tell him not to approach our vehicle. How do you say "Stay away" while maintaining friendly communications?

Trailhead

And then we were on our way up. Cool ice. So nice of someone (us, last January) to cut out the downfall.

Trailhead

Spring. Stable snow pack. But you should still be aware of your surroundings.

Trailhead

We did a better-than-average job of navigating the treed north-facing hillside.

Trailhead

And then it was all tanning opportunity.

Trailhead
A little practice taking the snowshoes on and off. Trailhead
Some dog wrassling. Trailhead
Almost there. Trailhead
Summit shot with authorized social distance. Trailhead
We'll just have a bite to eat of these here sticks. Trailhead

And then a different way down. Loop is good. Spring is good. Having Craig for next-door neighbor is good.

Stay well, friends!
