After driving about 1:15 from my house, Craig and I were happy to see Bill and Lynn were already at the trailhead. Introductions, then we're off. |

Craig has a thing for elk. At this point, the day was already a success. |

And then we spotted trillium. This is the most significant sign of spring, along with ticks. |

Craig was enjoying the Oregon-like vegetation, such as loads of moss and quite a few pacific yew trees. |

Second bridge, looking upstream. Chance of sunshine! |

And then on the hillside overlooking third bridge, a leisurely and socially-distanced lunch in the sun. |

The sun was higher on the return hike; the downhill making for better hiking, the sun making for better photography. |

Second bridge once again. Gin-clear water. |
![]() |
It's a great trail, but there are a few places that disinterest one from falling off. |
![]() |
The dogs didn't want to fall off, either. |

First bridge on our return. |
![]() |
After first bridge, Lynn and Bill heading up the downstream trail. Doesn't seem fair, but you better get over it. |

One more climb (or two?) to get back to the trailhead. | ![]() |
